About Us
I LOVED THE SALE SO MUCH I BOUGHT THE BUSINESS!!
For years Alice Large and Corine Sandifer spent valuable time looking for the best way to save money on homeschooling needs. They asked each other why there was not a sale where busy moms could find bargain prices without haggling and at the same time leave books their family had outgrown to be sold for them - like a consignment sale. They decided that it was time to organize a sale like that for homeschoolers. Thus, the CHALK Sale was birthed:
Classical curriculum,
Homeschool materials
And
Literature for
Kids
In early 2007 the CHALKSale was placed up for sale. My heart sunk to think I would no longer be able to shop at my favorite consignment sale! I loved the organization of the sale. It made it so easy to shop for the items I needed. I could compare everyone’s math books at one time. I also loved selling my books with them while I was home taking care of my family. I did not have to dedicate a long day of setting up tables and sitting in order to sell my things!
After much prayer and deliberation, I knew that I must carry on this wonderful tradition. As a past consignor and volunteer, I am excited to serve the homeschool community by making this an easy to use sale with lots of fun activities! We make it easy to use by doing the work of advertising, setting up, and selling the books for you. You can shop for bargains and await a check for the money earned on your books. Each consignor receives 70% of the amount sold based on the prices they have set.
If you don’t have books to sell you will be inspired by great prices on a wide assortment of good books, educational materials, and hobby supplies. If you are new to homeschooling or just want to supplement your child’s public or private education you can still benefit from the great resources. Teachers are also welcome to come browse for great deals on supplemental materials, children’s literature books and manipulatives.
